Why Muslims count dhikr

The Prophet ﷺ taught specific numbers: the post-salah tasbih (33/33/34 completing 100), a hundred istighfar a day, morning and evening adhkar. The numbers aren't bureaucracy — they build constancy, and counting keeps the tongue moving when the mind wanders. Traditionally that meant a misbaha (prayer beads); today your phone is already in your pocket.

What makes a good dhikr counter

Frequently asked questions

Is using a phone counter instead of beads acceptable?

Yes — scholars permit counting on fingers, beads or a device; the sunnah emphasis is on the remembrance itself. Counting on the fingers of the right hand is also sunnah.

Which adhkar can I count in SAWM 360?

Seven built-in adhkar (SubhanAllah, Alhamdulillah, Allahu Akbar, istighfar and more) plus up to 20 custom adhkar of your own, each with a target of 33 or more.

Does the dhikr counter work offline?

Yes — counting works without a connection. Counts themselves are not stored; marking the prayer needs a free account.
